At its May 29th meeting, Council will receive a report recommending the purchase of a portable stage and approval of an agreement for its sponsorship with Mainstreet Credit Union. The state-of-the-art portable stage will enhance local events and provide a cost-effective staging solution for community groups. The stage is expected to be available later this fall, allowing local organizations to rent it for their events.

The portable stage, with its versatile and mobile design, will offer an affordable staging solution for those hosting events in Chatham-Kent. Its availability for rent will provide an option for events without expensive staging infrastructure, supporting community gatherings, concerts, festivals, and other cultural and entertainment activities.
Once acquired, the stage is expected to be available for use later this fall. The rental cost for the portable stage will be set at a cost-recovery rate, ensuring affordability and accessibility for local organizations while not generating revenue.
