Municipal Arts + Culture include: 

We welcome you to visit the Chatham Cultural Centre, CK Arts + Culture headquarters! Located in the heart of downtown Chatham across the road from Tecumseh Park. The Cultural Centre (CCC) is a welcoming and inspiring venue for organizations, groups, and individuals to enjoy and participate in diverse experiences for all ages. This one destination offers the Thames Art Gallery, CK Museum and Kiwanis Theatre. We exist to create awareness, appreciation, and pride in the artistic & cultural achievements of our community. We proudly host special events, exhibits, programs, camps, concerts and so much more. Anyone is welcome to rent and enjoy our two studio spaces available at the centre.

CKtickets Box Office

CKtickets Box Office is open and located at the Chatham Cultural Centre, 75 William St. N. Chatham. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Closed during lunch 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. Please note that doors are locked during business hours. Please ring the doorbell or knock for service. Call 519-354-8338 or 1-866-807-7770.

Programs

We offer a variety of engaging programs for all ages and skill levels to discover and learn in art, history and drama. We are pleased to offer an online registration service for your convenience. In order to register for a program in Arts + Culture, you will need to create an account. Once you have your account set up, please browse through the available programs offered in galleries, museums and theatres. Need help registering? Gift Shop

Gift Shop is temporarily closed until further notiice. 

During your visit to the Chatham Cultural Centre, please be sure to shop in our charming gift shop! The Gift Shop is a pleasant surprise that offers many unique items and gifts for sale. Enter at the Museum/Gallery entrance off Murray Street. We accept cash, debit, MasterCard and Visa. Currently, we are unable to offer e-sales.

Looking for a meeting location? Planning an event? Presenting a show? We offer a wide range of rental spaces within our Arts + Culture facilities and can help you put together the perfect event. Chatham Cultural Centre

  • Studio One: A multi-use room in a creative setting at the Chatham Cultural Centre. With its exposed brick walls and intimate atmosphere, Studio One is a popular choice for receptions, small weddings, birthdays, showers, meetings, performances, marketplaces, lectures, films and more. The room is equipped with many amenities, including a projector and sound system, and is fully licensed (bar service available on request). Room capacity: 100* guests. *Availability limited due to Kiwanis Theatre show schedule.

  • Studio Two: Our stylishly cheerful gallery workshop space is perfect for small gatherings for art-making activities. Note: availability is limited due to ongoing classes and events. *Availability limited due to Thames Art Gallery programming schedule.

  • Thames Art Gallery: An inspiring, art-filled space spread over two levels, with soaring ceilings and an aura of relaxed sophistication. The perfect venue for an elegant reception for your invited guests before a Kiwanis Theatre show. Bar service is available upon request. Note: availability is limited due to the regular exhibition schedule. 

  • Kiwanis Theatre: A well-equipped mid-size theatre (679* seats) committed to providing visitors with high-quality, professional programs and events. The theatre is primarily used for performing arts activities but is also perfect for lectures, film screenings, town-hall-style meetings and graduations. The theatre has a proscenium (picture frame) stage with an extended apron in front.

Chatham Capitol Theatre

  • The Capitol Theatre is the venue of choice for large-scale concerts and events and is a popular stop for national and international touring artists. This 1210*-seat venue has 455 seats on the balcony level and 755 seats on the orchestra level. The 65-foot fly tower and state-of-the-art rigging allow for large-scale, technically advanced productions. The orchestra pit is designed for the optimal acoustic experience and can also be raised to floor or stage level as desired. Originally a bustling 1930s movie theatre, the Capitol Theatre is imbued with historical grandeur, with art deco detailing, gilded décor, opera boxes and an ornate ceiling. 

  • Mainstreet Lounge: Located on the second floor of the Capitol Theatre, the Mainstreet Lounge offers a birds-eye view of downtown Chatham. It features marquetry detailing, a gas fireplace, a deluxe bar and two spacious outdoor patios for use in warm weather. The Mainstreet Lounge can seat up to 35 guests and allows for 75 standing. Fully licensed (bar service available upon request). 

  • Rotary Lounge: This spacious and flexible room located on the lower level of the Chatham Capitol Theatre is an excellent choice for rehearsals, lectures, receptions and more. It can accommodate 150* for seated events and up to 250* for a standing reception. The Rotary Lounge is equipped with a spacious prep kitchen and is fully licensed (bar service available upon request).
