Swimming Lessons

COVID-19 Update

In accordance with Ontario's COVID-19 public health measures, effective March 1, 2022, proof of vaccination will no longer be required to enter CKRecreation programs/facilities. 

Please continue to follow along on the CK Recreation Facebook page and the CK Recreation Instagram feed for the most up-to-date information.

Lesson Descriptions

Our lessons are taught through progressive evaluation using the Red Cross Swim program providing safe, enjoyable aquatic programs for swimmers of all ages. Our friendly instructors can't wait to see you in the pool! 

Group Lessons 

  • Style: Up to 10 participants per class
  • Focus: Swimmers work in a group environment to progress through a specified Canadian Red Cross swim level
  • Length: 10 weeks

H2O Lessons

  • Style: 2 participants per class
  • Focus: Swimmers receive more individualized instruction to progress through a specified Canadian Red Cross swim level
  • Length: 5 weeks 

Private Lessons 

  • Style: 1 participant per class
  • Focus: Swimmers receive individualized instruction to progress through a specified Canadian Red Cross swim level, improve a specific skill needed to pass a level or gain general confidence in the water
  • Length: Unlimited

Progress Reports

Your child's progress reports are available through Swimgen. Please call 519-676-4544 to get your child's Client ID. 

What level should my child be in?

There are a few options to assist you in finding the right level:

  • Check a previous report card for the instructor's recommendation.
  • Take a free assessment!
  • Review the lesson descriptions.
  • Speak with our staff. We're always available for assistance.
