Welcome

The Kiwanis Theatre is a multi-use live performance space located in beautiful downtown Chatham across from Tecumseh Park at the Chatham Cultural Centre, 75 William Street North, Chatham, Ontario. A part of the Arts and Culture division of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

The theatre annually presents an array of professional performances in addition to highlighting some of the best talents that hail from Chatham-Kent. The theatre provides rental space to a number of community groups. The theatre is also rented by a number of national and regional promoters who present professional entertainment.

The Kiwanis Theatre has a proscenium (picture frame) stage with an extended apron in front. Seating capacity is 679 plus the wheelchair section and is reduced when seats are removed to accommodate an orchestra, bad sightlines, or a soundboard.

The Box Office is located at the Chatham Cultural Centre, 75 William Street North, Chatham.

Summer Hours of operation are Closed Mondays open Tuesday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Closed during lunch 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm.

  • On show day, the Kiwanis theatre onsite box office will be open two hours prior to the show for ticket sales and/or pick up.
  • On show day, the Chatham Capitol Theatre onsite box office will be open two hours prior to the show for ticket sales and/or pick up.

Please note: Ticket prices quoted may be subject to a handling fee. There are no refunds on ticket sales.

Ticketholders to events at the Capitol and Kiwanis Theatres will be updated on an ongoing basis. Should a theatre event be cancelled or postponed, ticketholders will be contacted regarding refunds, rescheduled dates, etc. Events by external renters may not necessarily be cancelled; renters will be contacted individually.

The Kiwanis Theatre is a well-equipped mid-size theatre (679* seats) committed to providing visitors with high-quality, professional programs and events. The theatre is primarily used for performing arts activities but is also perfect for lectures, film screenings, town-hall-style meetings and graduations. The theatre has a proscenium (picture frame) stage with an extended apron in front.
