Local Groups May Now Apply for Community Event Funding

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is now accepting applications from local groups seeking funding for community events and projects to be held in 2024.

Applications can be submitted for the Together CK Grant Program.

In keeping with its commitment to encourage community development through partnerships with local groups, the Council allocates funds each year through a competitive process.

Groups are invited to apply for funding of up to 50% of project costs up to a maximum of $10,000, and an event’s cost to a maximum of $5,000. Significant events (those with attendance in excess of 25,000) can qualify for up to 50% of expenses for the first $10,000 of the budget and 25% of the balance of the budget, to a maximum of $25,000.

Information sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, August 16 at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. To attend one of the sessions, email CKPartnership@Chatham-Kent.ca to receive call-in instructions.

The deadline for applications for this round of funding is Thursday, October 5 at 4:30 p.m. Grant guidelines and the online application can be found at www.letstalkchatham-kent.ca/together-ck-grants-2024.

All applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of citizens and representatives from various municipal departments.
