Labour Day Municipal Hours

Municipal offices and most services will be closed Monday, September 2 in recognition of the Labour Day.

Other services are scheduled as follows:

Arenas: All arenas are closed Monday, September 2.

Arts and Culture: Chatham Capitol Theatre, Kiwanis Theatre, CKTickets Box Office, Chatham Cultural Centre, Chatham-Kent Museum, Ridge House Museum, The Milner Heritage House, Thames Art Gallery and ARTspace will be closed Monday, September 2.

Cemetery Operations: Cemeteries staff will be available on call for funeral homes that need at-need lot sales or internment orders.

CK Public Health: CK Public Health will be closed on Monday, September 2. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207. Due to the Public Health lab schedule, acceptance of well water samples will be paused starting Friday August 30 at 11am until regular office hours resume on Tuesday September 3.

EarlyON: All EarlyON programs are closed Monday, September 2.

Emergency Services:  Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are accessible by dialing “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed on Monday, September 2, re-opening on Tuesday, September 3 at 8:30 a.m.

Employment and Social Services: Employment and Social Services will be closed Monday, September 2. The Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies within Chatham-Kent is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Those affected by the fire at 99 McNaughton West can contact their case manager.

Entegrus: Entegrus will be closed will be closed Monday, September 2. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.

Fleet Services: Fleet Services will be closed on Monday, September 2.

Housing Services: Housing Services will be closed on Monday, September 2. Those affected by the fire at 99 McNaughton West can contact their case manager.

Leaf and Yard Depots:  All Leaf and Yard Depots will be closed Monday, September 2.

Libraries: All Chatham-Kent Public Library branches will be closed Monday, September 2. Virtual Services are available 24/7 at www.ckpl.ca.

Pools: Municipal pools will be closed on Monday, September 2. Please visit www.Chatham-Kent.ca/recreation for more information.

Provincial Offences Court: The Provincial Offences Court will be closed Monday, September 2. Please note that during office closures fines can continue to be paid online at www.paytickets.ca.

Public Utilities Commission: The PUC will be closed on Monday, September 2.

RIDE CK: All Ride CK Transit services will not operate Monday, September 2.

Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed Monday, September 2. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.

Service Ontario: Both the Chatham and Dresden locations will be closed on Monday, September 2.  

Tourism: CK Tourism will be closed Monday, September 2. To access visitor information at any time, please go www.visitck.ca.    

Transfer Stations: All Transfer Stations will be closed Monday, September 2. 

Waste and Recycling: Monday, September 2 waste collection will be delayed by one day. Refer to the 2024 Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for further details.
