Easter Holiday Municipal Hours - April 2026

Municipal offices and most services will be closed Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026, in recognition of the Easter weekend.

Other services are scheduled as follows:

Arenas: All arenas will be closed Friday, April 3. Thames Campus arena will be open only for previously scheduled rentals and programming on Monday, April 6. Ice programming information and schedules are available at Chatham-Kent | Ice Skating.

Arts and Culture:

Chatham Capitol Theatre

  • Closed except for regularly scheduled events.

Chatham Cultural Centre

  • CKTickets Box Office will be closed April 3, 4, 5, 6.

Beginning April 7, 2026 the new Box Office hours are 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday

  • Kiwanis Theatre - Closed except for regularly scheduled events.
  • CK Museum - closed April 3, 5, 6. Open regular hours Saturday, April 4 from 10am to 6pm.
  • Thames Art Gallery - closed April 3, 5, 6. Open regular hours Saturday, April 4 from 10am to 6pm.

ARTspace will be closed April 3, 5, 6. Open regular hours Saturday, April 4 from noon to 5pm.

The Ridge House Museum and Milner House are currently closed for the season.

Cemetery Operations: Cemeteries staff will be available on call for funeral homes that are in need of at-need lot sales or interment orders.

CK Public Health: CK Public Health will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 519-352-7270 and follow the prompts for our after-hours service. Due to the Public Health lab schedule, acceptance of well water samples will be paused starting Wednesday, April 1 at 11am until regular office hours resume on Tuesday April 7.

EarlyON: All EarlyON programs are closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6.

Emergency Services: Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 and will re-open on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:30am.

Employment and Social Services: Employment and Social Services will be closed Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6.

Entegrus: Entegrus will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.

Fleet Services: The office of Fleet Services (PABC) will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6.

Housing Services: Housing Services will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. For homeless emergencies please contact the Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628. 

Leaf & Yard Depots: All Leaf and Yard Depots will be closed Friday, April 3. The Chatham Leaf and Yard Depot will be open on Monday, April 6.

Libraries:  All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. Branches normally open on Saturdays will be open on Saturday, April 4. Administration offices will be closed on both April 3 and April 6.

Pools: Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be open only for an Adult Swim from 12-1:30pm, followed by a Free Rec Swim Sponsored by Noelles Gift from 1:30-3:00pm. Pools will be open regular hours on Saturday April 4, closed on Sunday April 5, and open regular hours on Monday April 6.

Provincial Offences Court: The Provincial Offences Court will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 and will re-open on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:30am. Please note that during office closures fines can continue to be paid online at www.paytickets.ca.

Public Utilities Commission: The PUC will be closed Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 for walk-in appointments.

Public Works: Administrative offices will be closed Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. Road and Water/Wastewater services will be available for emergency service.

RIDE CK: All Ride CK Transit services will not operate Friday, April 3 or Sunday April 5. Services will be available on Monday April 6. 

Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 but services, activities and visiting hours will continue as normal. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.

Service Ontario: Both the Chatham and Dresden locations will be closed both Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6.

Tourism: CK Tourism will be closed Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. To access visitor information at any time, please go to visitck.ca.

Transfer Stations: All Transfer Stations will be closed Friday, April 3.

Waste and Recycling: 
Collection services will only be affected by Good Friday (April 3). Those residents who would normally receive curbside collection on Friday, April 3 will receive it on Saturday, April 4. There are no collection changes for the week of April 6 (Easter Monday). Refer to the 2026 Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for further details.
