As part of CK Transit’s fare structure, which includes phased-in fare adjustments to balance transit sustainability and affordability, the following changes to Ride CK public transit fares using smartcard products will be effective July 1, 2026:
- Riders who pay their fare using a Cash Pass will receive a discount off the exact cash fare an all Ride CK Transit Services as follows:
- $2.32 on all Chatham urban services (a fare of $1.91 will apply on Chatham's fixed routes during off-peak hours)
- $2.32 on all Wallaceburg urban services
- $4.36 on all inter-urban routes
- The 30-Day Urban Pass will increase by $1.53 to $83.98 for adults, and by $1.20 to $65.98 for seniors (65+) and students (6 to 17). This product is accepted on all Ride CK Chatham and Wallaceburg urban services, including specialized transit
- The 30-Day Urban Pass available to low-income residents under the Affordable Bus Pass Program will increase by $0.76 to $41.99. This product is accepted on all Ride CK Chatham and Wallaceburg urban services, including specialized transit
- The Semester Pass will remain at $164.90 per semester. This product provides unlimited access to all Ride CK services, including inter-urban routes, all semester. Eligibility is limited to enrolled students at both St. Clair College Thames Campus and the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus with valid Student ID for the current academic year
- Children five years of age or younger continue to be free with a paying passenger on any Ride CK service
- Exact Cash for inter-urban conventional services will increase by $0.25 to $5.50
- Exact Cash for Chatham and Wallaceburg specialized urban transit services and the demand-responsive Chatham and Wallaceburg urban service will remain at $2.75
In addition to Municipal Centres, riders are reminded that smart cards can be purchased or reloaded online. Riders without a credit card can also use that platform to register their smartcard to their personal account in order to protect against loss or theft.
