On March 17, 2026, the province announced new regulations that would allow “bring-your-own" alcoholic beverages at outdoor public events in participating municipalities beginning April 30, 2026. At this time, Chatham-Kent does not have a Bring-Your-Own by-law and is not participating in this program, therefore no events within Chatham-Kent allow Bring-Your-Own alcohol.
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is dedicated to supporting safe, manageable, and accessible events. Events with alcohol are permitted under the existing Municipal Alcohol Policy.
