CK LIP Forum 2023

CK LIP Annual Forum was hosted on March 2, 2023, at the Everest Convention Centre. The Forum showcased continued efforts to make Chatham-Kent a welcoming community for immigrant newcomers and provided update on progress made in the Theory of Change strategic plan. The Forum included 2021 Census updates which showcase an increasing immigrant population in CK, and two panels representing current work within the three key strategies of the Theory of Change framework:

  1. Prepare newcomers and employers for the labour market
  2. Increase newcomers' social belonging
  3. Increase and promote community supports and information

Chatham-Kent Welcome Network members were presented with membership certificates and a call-to-action was shared for organizations to join the Welcome Network.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the morning, to Mayor Darrin Canniff for bringing greetings and emphasizing the importance of immigration in Chatham-Kent, to CK LIP Co-Chairs Tristan Fehrenbach and Tracy Callaghan for emceeing the event, and to all CK LIP partners who presented.
