Hi, I'm Meg! I recently returned to CK after almost ten years. After graduating from Chatham-Kent Secondary School in 2013, I moved to London to get a degree in Criminology from the University of Western. Thereafter, I relocated to Windsor to obtain a Dual JD from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. To be quite honest, I never thought I would return to Chatham-Kent on a permanent basis.
I began my career practicing construction law and commercial litigation at a mid-size law firm in London. But shortly after, I met my partner, Ryan, who works on his family farm here in CK. After commuting between London and Chatham nearly every weekend for over a year, I finally made the transition back to Chatham-Kent to join Ryan on the farm when the opportunity arose – and I am so glad I did! Since moving baCK, I have joined Pathway Law as an associate lawyer and have had the privilege of receiving great mentorship and support from Dan Whittal and the staff at the firm. It has truly made my return to Chatham-Kent a positive experience.
Although living in a big city has its perks, there really is nothing like small town living. I love #LivingCK because of the people I have connected with, the laid-back lifestyle, and for the opportunity to use my education to contribute to the community. It is so great to be back!
