Where did you grow up?

On Grand River Line just outside of Chatham.

What was your first job?

Corn detasselling and stocking shelves at Price Chopper

What is your favourite Chatham-Kent pastime?

When I think of growing up in Chatham I think of the great friendships I made and still maintain today.  The people are what make Chatham-Kent what it is and since moving back I have had the pleasure of being warmly welcomed by everyone I've met.  There are a lot of good kind-hearted people in Chatham.

What is your favourite season, and why?

Summer. I love sitting on the backyard patio with my wife, listening to music and inviting friends over for pool parties.

Name an experience that has positively motivated you?

I feel very fortunate to have had the experience of working in Toronto's Downtown Financial District for over 10 years.  Seeing the brightest and best Investment Advisors work firsthand and being on the pulse of the Toronto Stock Exchange daily has motivated me to excel as a financial advisor myself and to benefit my clients through my experience.

What did you do after high school?

Went to McMaster University to study business and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree.

What are you doing now?

Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning at Bank of Montreal.

What is your #1 reason for choosing Chatham-Kent as "home"?

After 10 years working downtown Toronto at BMO Nesbitt Burns and spending the last 4 years of that commuting well over an hour each way I would find myself day dreaming of a shorter commute and memories of my dad taking a break from work to go home for a bowl of soup during lunch hour.  The #1 reason for choosing Chatham-Kent as home is being closer to family, but knowing you can get across town in about 15 minutes after having spent many years in the GTA is priceless.
