Together with dental hygienists and dental assistants, dentists help their patients take care of their teeth, gums and mouth. The directory on the right will help you connect with dental professionals who can:

  • Examine and diagnose your oral health condition
  • Recommend and carry out treatment
  • Inform you about general oral health and/or post-operative care

More information about oral health is accessible through the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit and The Canadian Dental Association.

It is important to keep in mind that regular dental checkups and most procedures are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). If you are unable to get dental insurance, Settlement.org can provide you with information about community health programs that may be helpful to you and your family.
