Public Health Unit

Chatham-Kent's Public Health Unit offers resources and links to community information on pregnancy and infant care. They also have tools for parents with children between the ages of 0-6 years.

If you have a newborn, register your baby online by using Ontario's newborn registration service. Or, you can register your baby at one of our local Service Ontario Centre.

Early Years Centre

The Ontario Early Years Centre (OEYC) has childcare centres throughout our community. You and your children can learn and play in one of their many programs.

Best Start Program

The Best Start Program is offered at OEYC. This program is offered to all parents and children regardless of their economic or social circumstances.

Chatham-Kent Public Libraries

The Chatham-Kent Public Library has eleven branch locations across the municipality, and provides storytime kits, book rotations, and booklists to help anyone working with children from 0 - 6 years. They also offer hard copy and electronic multilingual literature.
