Where did you grow up?

I grew up on the Snye just outside of Wallaceburg.

What was your first job?

I started my own lawn care business at the age of 15, during the summer while I was in high school.

What is your favourite Chatham-Kent pastime?

I have a large passion for classic cars and boating, and can either be found cruising around in my 1959 Mercury that my Great grandfather purchased new, or out in the waters of Mitchell's bay.

Name an experience that has positively motivated you.

The community always seems to rally behind things that are important. Whether it was creating the Canada Day celebrations, or supporting WAMBO, or filling the waterways for the Dragon Boat races, our small town supports each other.

What did you do after high school and what are you doing now?

After I graduated, I attended Fanshawe College for Business Human Resources. I am now the Sales manager for 99.1 CKXS FM

What surprised you about your move baCK?

I never thought I would be so happy to be at home and get so involved in my community. Growing up, I didn't realize how important the small town atmosphere would be to me. I love that we are so close to so many amenities, but still have that close-knit feeling. I had the support of family, friends and the community, so the move went seamlessly

What has made you happy about your move baCK?

Everything! The quality of life that Wallaceburg and Chatham-Kent offers cannot be beat. We have amazing waterways, affordable housing, and everything anyone could ask for. There are opportunities in the area for skilled workers and specialty jobs - the types of employment that are going to draw people here and revitalize our employment force.

What advice would you give to someone considering coming baCK2CK?

Do it! You will be happy - there is nothing like being home! The quality of life that you can have here is one that you will never find anywhere else. Small towns have the biggest hearts. When someone in our community needs help, the entire community will rally behind him and lift them up, whichever way they can.
