Where did you grow up?
What was your first job?
What is your favourite Chatham-Kent memory?
Playing broomball for Red Feather (United Way’s major fundraiser, focused on high school student participation).
What is your favourite season?
Summer. I love going to Chatham-Kent’s beaches and sitting on patios, enjoying a meal.
Who was your local inspiration/role model?
Everyone in my life was positive and encouraging.
What did you do after high school?
Attended Redeemer University College in Ancaster, ON. After graduating, I travelled Europe, moved to Alberta and worked as an editor there until I married.
What are you doing now?
Helping my husband run an organic farm and raising our three children in Dresden, ON.
Why did you come back to Chatham-Kent?
Coming back made it possible for my husband to change careers from being an engineer to a farmer. The land near Edmonton was too expensive, there was a piece of organic land for sale in Dresden, and the climate is wonderful for growing a large variety of things. My family is also here and I like that our children can grow up with family close by.
Why live in Chatham-Kent?
It’s close to the Great Lakes
Dresden is a great town in which to raise a family
I enjoy the warmer climate, with less snow
