Chatham Camera Club offers photographers the ability to connect, share resources, and develop their skills year-round. The group actively interacts with other clubs and national organizations to promote and further the art of photography in the community. Club members sometimes judge and promote local photography contests, and host seminars to help educate and encourage the enjoyment of photography.
Enjoy all four seasons, and extended warm weather months, in Chatham-Kent with a variety of activities. Bird watching, swimming, camping, hunting, hiking, golf, water sports, and visiting the zoo are some of the seasonal activities available during the warmer months. Boating is enjoyed throughout Chatham-Kent with docs in Wallaceburg and Chatham, and public boat launches and marinas in several communities.
Spend the autumns going for ghost walks and visiting agricultural attractions like the
Corn Maize and
fruit picking, and your winters skating, curling, and ice fishing.
There are many special events and festivals for you and your family to enjoy in Chatham-Kent throughout the year. Popular annual events include the
Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO), RetroFest, Canada D'eh, Ridgetown's Festival of Porches & Verandahs, and
North Buxton's Homecoming. Annual agricultural events include Blenheim Cherry Fest, the Pain Court Truck & Tractor Pull, and the Thamesville Threshing Festival. In 2019, Flight Fest was held for the first time at the local Chatham-Kent Airport.
