Residents of all ages and interests enjoy year-round sports and
recreation in Chatham-Kent. From walking or running along one of over 40 municipal
trails to joining local sports clubs and teams, there are
plenty of opportunities to make friends and stay fit! A number of organizations in Chatham-Kent offer indoor and outdoor sports. There are many teams and leagues to register with, as well as sports facilities that offer activities and bookings.

Thames Art Gallery and the
YMCA, which provide state-of-the-art programs and facilities to the area for adults and children. More information about children’s activities can be found through schools, and places of worship.
Chatham Camera Club offers photographers the ability to connect, share resources, and develop their skills year-round. The group actively interacts with other clubs and national organizations to promote and further the art of photography in the community. Club members sometimes judge and promote local photography contests, and host seminars to help educate and encourage the enjoyment of photography.
Enjoy all four seasons, and extended warm weather months, in Chatham-Kent with a variety of activities. Bird watching, swimming, camping, hunting, hiking, golf, water sports, and visiting the zoo are some of the seasonal activities available during the warmer months. Boating is enjoyed throughout Chatham-Kent with docs in Wallaceburg and Chatham, and public boat launches and marinas in several communities.
Spend the autumns going for ghost walks and visiting agricultural attractions like the
Corn Maize and
fruit picking, and your winters skating, curling, and ice fishing.
There are many special events and festivals for you and your family to enjoy in Chatham-Kent throughout the year. Popular annual events include the
Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO), RetroFest, Canada D'eh, Ridgetown's Festival of Porches & Verandahs, and
North Buxton's Homecoming. Annual agricultural events include Blenheim Cherry Fest, the Pain Court Truck & Tractor Pull, and the Thamesville Threshing Festival. In 2019, Flight Fest will be held at the local Chatham-Kent Airport for the first time.
