Nestled along the scenic shores of the Sydenham River, Wallaceburg is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. This quaint town boasts a rich tapestry of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it an ideal destination for visitors of all ages. 

For history enthusiasts, a visit to the Wallaceburg & District Museum is a must. The museum is a treasure trove of artifacts and exhibits that vividly portray the town's evolution over the years. From its early industrial roots to its pivotal role in various historical events, the museum offers a fascinating journey through time. It also features the Jeanne Gordon Hall, home to the Glasstown Players and the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame . This portion of the museum pays tribute to local athletes who have made significant contributions to the world of sports. Attendees can explore exhibits featuring memorabilia and stories of these sporting legends, fostering a sense of pride and inspiration.

The Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO)is also a treat for history buffs, showcasing an impressive collection of vintage cars and boats, providing a glimpse into the town's transportation heritage. WAMBO, held annually in August, you can enjoy a full weekend of events like a classic car cruise, Fire Truck parade, live music, kid activities and artisan vendors. 

Nature lovers will find solace in the serene beauty of Waterfront Park. Situated along the riverbank, the park offers picturesque walking trails, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a family picnic. Here you will also find a chance to paddle the Sydenham River with Whimsies Paddle Rental (seasonal). Home to the Sydenham Field Naturalists, there are an extensive variety of activities for the nature-lover. 

Choose from four hiking trails to enjoy the fresh air, beautiful scenery, have a picnic or go fishing along Crothers Park Trail. Stop in at Ed's Bait or Eric's Bait Stop for some new fishing gear before you go.

Wallaceburg's culinary scene is a delightful blend of local flavours and international influences with plenty of great restaurant and take-out options. The town is dotted with charming cafes and restaurants, each offering a unique culinary experience. From cozy family-owned diners to trendy eateries, there's something to satisfy every palate. Be sure to check out the unique stores that make up their downtown. 

Wallaceburg is also host to one of four craft breweries along the Brewery Trail in Chatham-Kent. Glasstown Brewing Co. opened its doors in May of 2023. Along with a pint, you can enjoy time spent on their patio and incredible wood-oven fired pizza, along with a menu of other incredible selections. For those travelling with pets, yes, their patio is pet-friendly, provided your furry companion is leashed. 

Seasonally, enjoy and explore the Wallaceburg Farmers' Market for a taste of fresh, locally sourced produce and artisanal treats, embodying the town's commitment to sustainable living and community engagement. In the summer, the Wallaceburg & District Council for the Arts hosts a free Outdoor Summer Concert Series
