Enjoy history; you will love visiting Bothwell, a historic town founded on the nineteenth-century oil boom. You can visit the Bothwell-Zone Oil Museum and learn more about Bothwell and the surrounding area's unique history. Continue learning the local history with a stroll to the cenotaph and plaque downtown.

While downtown, you can enjoy a meal at The Boomtown Dinner or LA Roadhouse. Be sure to make a stop at Bothwell Furniture, they are renowned for their unique and quality furniture. Walk by the home of Bootlegger Distillery, a new craft, high quality vodka. You can also take in a Bothwell Boomtown Players' performance at the Jim Kish Theatre located in the beautiful town hall.  

In August, take the family to the Bothwell Car Show and Optifest Weekend. The weekend features a large car corral with hundreds of classic cars and automotive swap meet. You can take part in kids' activities, enjoy tasty food vendors, listen to live music, and try your luck for the very popular Firemen's 50/50 raffle. On the way stop in Joyce Farm Market for fresh produce and baked goods.

At the annual Boothill "Country" Jamboree, you and your friends will have a great time dancing the weekend away to live music. During the winter months, you and your family can pick and cut the perfect Christmas tree, enjoy rides, play games and roast marshmallows at Sloan's Christmas Tree Village
