There are many places in Chatham-Kent to take in the cultural scene that embraces and features both local artists and those from afar. The galleries also offer classes and experiences - perfect add-ons to your visit to Chatham-Kent.

ARTspace is a community arts initiative of the Thames Art Gallery. Here, exhibitions, artist profiles and programs vary and are updated often! One month you could be taking in a breathtaking collection of abstract paintings, the next a collection featuring First Nations People. ARTSpace also offers an eclectic array of programming. DIY Fridays, as they are known as, change weekly, and can be found here. Programs Exhibitions and programs are generously supported by the Ontario Arts Council, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, ARTspace membership, and corporate and individual sponsorships and donations.

Thames Art Gallery - re-opening September 16, 2020

Every six weeks, the Thames Art Gallery changes its exhibitions, providing visitors with many reasons to return again and again. The Thames Art Gallery is predicated to promoting the understanding, appreciation, conservation, and enjoyment of the visual arts in the community of Chatham-Kent for present and future generations. The Gallery places emphasis on public arts education programming and multidisciplinary exhibitions programming. The gallery is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with hours available here.

Art and Heirloom Shoppe

This downtown Chatham gallery showcases over 40 artists and artisans in media including paintings, pottery, photography, mixed media, fine pen and pencil works, encaustics, jewellery and fabric arts. Well worth a browse for the perfect work of art to take home and forever remind you of your visit to CK.

Mary Webb Centre for the Arts

The centre's art gallery is in the lower level of the building, home of the former Sunday School. Rooms showcase numerous district artists and artisans who display their arts and crafts for sale. Each month a different artist is featured. The gallery is open on Thursday-Sunday afternoons from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm and on each concert evening.
