All CKPL branches offer Chromeboxes for public use. Chromeboxes have accessibility features including text-to-speech, high contrast display mode, and screen magnifier. Large print keyboards and headphones are available at most branches on request.
You can scan a book on the SARA (scanning and reading appliance) and have it read back to you in one of 18 languages. This device is available for use at Chatham Branch but can be sent to another branch on request.
Wallaceburg Branch provides Portable Digital Video Magnifiers for use in the branch.
A DAISY reader is available to borrow for 30 days! A DAISY reader is a portable hardware device designed to lay DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) digital talking books. To reserve the DAISY reader, place a hold at search.ckpl.ca.
