Welcome to Chatham-Kent, and to Chatham-Kent Public Library! The public library is a great place to get to know the community, learn about resources, and meet new people!
With a library card, borrow books, magazines, DVDs and more from CKPL!
CKPL offers books in 19 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian, Urdu and Vietnamese. You can request books in these languages to be sent to any CKPL branch. Find more information on our
Language Learners page. If you need help finding what you are looking for, just Ask CKPL!
In partnership with Employment and Social Services, CKPL can help connect you with community services through the Community Navigator program.
The Community Navigator program serves all CKPL patrons through our 11 branch library system - all you need is a library card! With the help of a Community Navigator, CKPL can:
- assist with completing online forms and applications
- provide employment support and referrals to employment support agencies
- help to identify continuing learning opportunities based on your individual needs
Do you have questions? Are you unsure about available services? Give the Community Navigators a call at 519-355-1380 or send them an email at CommunityResourceNavigator@chatham-kent.ca and they will do their best to help you find answers.
