Smart Card Passes

CKTransit riders can obtain a variety of reloadable Smart Card Passes to receive discounts on transit.​


Cash Pass

The CKTransit Cash Pass is a reloadable smart card that can be pre-loaded with any value greater than $20 up to a maximum of $160. The Cash Pass does not expire and is transferable to other transit riders. Cash Pass users will receive a discount off the regular urban cash fare.

On-Peak & Off-Peak Discounts

  • On-Peak: 7:00 am to 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm - 20% discount
  • Off-Peak: 6:00 am to 7:00 am, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm and Saturdays - 50% discount

30-Day Urban Smart Card Pass

30-Day Urban Transit Passes allow for unlimited rides starting the first day it's used on the bus, continuing for 30 calendar days. The cost for adults is $75.00. These passes are also available to students and seniors at a greater discount. You are able to purchase 30, 60, or 90 consecutive days each time you load the card. This card is non-transferable.

An Affordable Pass for low income residents is also available.


22-Ride Inter-Urban Smart Card Pass

22-Ride Inter-Urban Transit Passes are available to adults at the discounted cost of $100.00. 22-Ride passes are also available to students and seniors at a greater discount. This card is non-transferable.


St. Clair College Semester Pass

Semester Passes for students attending St. Clair College Thames Campus are available at a cost of $120.00 per semester. This pass provides students with unlimited rides on urban transit routes all semester. Passes can only be purchased at the Chatham Civic Centre with valid Student ID or proof of full time registration. This card is non-transferable.

Where do I get a Smart Card Pass?

What if I lose my Smart Card?

  • Riders will be able to transfer any unused balance on a lost Smart Card for a $5 fee, if the Smart Card ID number is kept by the rider. Please contact your Municipal Service Centre.

Can I get a refund on my Smart Card?

  • All sales are final, no refunds are available.
