Affordable Bus Pass Program

​The Affordable Bus Pass Program provides a 30-Day rolling transit pass for urban routes and services to residents of Chatham-Kent that meet specific income eligibility requirements. The Affordable Bus Pass allows for unlimited rides beginning the first time it is scanned on a bus and continues for 30 consecutive days before expiring. You are able to purchase 30, 60, or 90 consecutive days each time you load the card. This card is non-transferable.


Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the Affordable Bus Pass Program, you must be a resident of Chatham-Kent with an annual combined family income at or below the Statistics Canada before-tax low-income measures (LIM) table for their family size. In order to be eligible for the Affordable Bus Pass, a completed application form along with supporting documentation will need to be submitted to the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre


Cost

Cost - $40 / pass

This pass provides access to Chatham and Wallaceburg urban transit services including specialized transit.


Required Documentation

  • Signed and completed Application Form
  • Current copy of your Canada Revenue Agency Personal Tax Notice of Assessment for all members with an income. Note: ODSP clients may present their current income statements.
  • Supporting identification documents for the applicant and each family member (birth certificate, driver's license, baptismal certificate, passport, Ontario Health Card showing birthdate)
