Author Visit - Dawn Beecroft Teetzel "My Mary: A Story of One Barnardo Home Child"

Chatham-Kent Public Library is proud to announce a local author visit from Dawn Beecroft Teetzel. The event will be held in the Chatham Branch Meeting Room. Registration is not required. Dawn has published her second book entitled “My Mary: A Story of One Barnardo Home Child." Drop by and enjoy listening to an excerpt from her book! Autographed copies will be available for sale at $25 per book cash or e-transfer.​


 Chatham Branch Spring Book Sale

Chatham-Kent Public Library is hosting its Spring Book Sale at Chatham Branch, 

Community Living Café,

Monday, May 12 and Saturday, May 17, while supplies last. 

The sale is available during open hours.

This is a great opportunity to stock up before heading out to the beach or a day out to the park, as we have a large selection of adult fiction! Please bring your own bag. All proceeds from the sale will support library programs and services. ​​​

Café Capers-Chatham Branch

Join us Wednesday mornings for a different caper each week.  Some activities will be challenging, others will get you crafting and still others will be relaxing and fun!

The schedule of programs for April 2025 includes:

May 07 - Accessorize a flower pot and plant seeds inside!

May 14 - Cafe Capers will be meeting in the YA area this week. Enjoy a chat with L.A. 1 staff as they talk about a typical day.

May 21 - Treasures & Tales

May 28 - Let's Play Bingo!​​​​


Registration is not required.  Simply drop by the Library Café on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  While in the café, you can also treat yourself to a hot or cold drink and a tasty snack if you like!


Mahjong Club

Chatham Branch
Mondays, 3:00 pm

Come and play the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong. Our in-person Mahjong Club takes place in the first floor Cafe area. This is a free, drop-in program.


Movies

Tuesdays at 2:00 pm
Watch our Facebook page or look for our in-house listing for weekly movies. No registration required. Donation at the door suggested. 


Spice Club

Join us each month as we explore a new spice. This is a virtual program and registration is required. Contact us to register.
