Becoming Digitally Disruptive Event Coming to Chatham-Kent

The Chatham-Kent Small Business Centre, in partnership with Small Business Centres Ontario, is hosting a free virtual evening event on June 2, 2021, called “Becoming Digitally Disruptive.” The focus of the event is on providing local businesses with important information about how to reach their customers using the right tools. The session explores activities that work, those that do not, and how to avoid time wasters. As well, attendees can learn tips and tricks to improve both their operations and their communication effectiveness.

“Our first time hosting this session at lunchtime a few weeks ago was great and we had excellent feedback from business owners and entrepreneurs who attended,” said Jamie Rainbird, Manager of Chatham-Kent Economic Development. “We know that schedules are busy these days, which is why we are running this session a second time in the evening to try and reach even more people.”

The event features digital marketing expert Darrell Keezer, CEO of Candybox Marketing Inc., and his insights about digital marketing and how it’s revolutionized the way businesses communicate and connect with consumers. Keezer’s agency ranks #188 on Macleans’ Growth 500 of the fastest-growing companies in Canada and was named Entrepreneur of the Year by two organizations. The agency has also won two Awards of Excellence in Business from the Governor-General of Canada.

Keezer will discuss the mechanics of game-changing digital marketing and explain how businesses are disrupting the status quo to generate leads and build relationships. His keynote is packed with real examples and insights on how your company can build a digital plan to move the needle.

“Darrell brings a practical and real-world approach to an important topic,” said Rainbird. “He shows why things work, how to improve systems, and ultimately how to save time for both customers and the business owner.”
