Comments on cause: Station 9 Bothwell along with a tanker from Station 8 Thamesville responded to a detached garage fire on Friday afternoon shortly after 4pm. The homeowner was burning brush when the fire spread to nearby trees and garage. The owner attempted to extinguish the fire however the garage along with a classic car and motorcycle were lost in the fire. No injuries were reported Estimated loss: $100,000.00 Chatham-Kent Fire is reminding residents to never leave fires unattended. Friday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm Chatham-Kent fire responded to 3 separate brush fire incidents.
