Comments on cause: Stations #1 and #2 - Chatham responded to smoke in the area of Jeffrey Street in Chatham. Upon arrival smoke and flames were visible from the upper unit of the multi-unit dwelling. Crews entered the unit and made a quick attack on the fire in the upper unit kitchen. The fire was quickly extinguished. Crews remained on scene to ventilate the building as well as to do salvage and overhaul operations. No injuries to report.
