Comments on cause: At approximately 8:45pm on March 30th, Station #3 - Wallaceburg responded to 5732 Bluewater Ave for a structure fire. The two storey residence was fully engulfed upon their arrival, the lone occupant was waiting outside with no injuries. Station #3 - Wallaceburg Volunteer Firefighters, Station #2 - Chatham, Station #5 - Tupperville and Station #6 - Dresden were also called to assist. Units on scene: Pumper 3, Tanker 3, Ladder 2, Tanker 5, Tanker 6. The Command Unit attended Station #3 to cover Wallaceburg and provide air support. CK 3 also attended. Estimated loss $350,000. The cause was accidental, wood stove.
