Comments on cause: Crews from Chatham Station 1 and Station 2 attended 70 Timmins Crescent last night just after 9:30pm for reports of a fire in an apartment of a four-unit building. All occupants were able to escape without injuries including a 5-foot Python Snake which firefighters extricated safely. The fire was contained to the one unit. Chatham-Kent Police are currently holding the scene and the OFM has been called to assist with the investigation. No other details will be released at this time.
