Comments on cause: Station #1 and #2 - Chatham responded to Princess Street in Chatham for a detached garage fire. When crews arrived, the garage was fully involved with flames spreading across the grass and to a neighbour's fence. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and stop further damage to neighbouring properties. The garage and contents were completely destroyed as a result of the fire with an estimated value of $10,000. Damage to neighbouring property was estimated at $5000. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Cause is undetermined.
