Volunteering

Volunteering is a way to join and give back to community while making new friends. It can help grow your career by gaining work experiences, make work contacts, and build your professional network.

Charity Village is a great starting point to connect you to volunteer opportunities, in addition to local organizations. Locally, the United Way of Chatham-Kent is another key resource to connect to volunteerism in Chatham-Kent. The Municipality of Chatham-Kent also has volunteer opportunities with Committees of Council and Local Boards. You can also find volunteer opportunities at local schools, not-for-profits, and religious groups. If you know the organization or event, you want to volunteer for, contact them directly to ask how to apply for their volunteer roles.

Volunteering for new Canadians is a guide to help you learn more about volunteering if you are new to Canada.
