We are Tishon Jno-Baptiste and Kyle Gardiner, the founders and lead creatives of Marcus & Warren Studio. We are an internationally published editorial cinematography studio that ambitiously creates with the intent to amplifying diversity and inclusion. Aside from being business partners, we are also life partners! After a few years of living in Ottawa and travelling abroad we decided it was time to settle somewhere a little closer to family.
After being away from Chatham-Kent for almost a decade, I (Kyle) came back with such a new appreciation for the small town living. Coming from Vaughan, Tishon has enjoyed exploring many new places within CK. We love the proximity to nature as well as the accessibility of other cities in Ontario.
We find it has great year-round activities for all ages. Aside from the beautiful surroundings we also love the shop local mindset that seems to be woven into the Chatham-Kent's culture! We also love exploring and educating ourselves on the historical significance of Chatham Kent.
We are grateful for the support we have received from the Chatham-Kent Economic Development Centre's' Small Business Centre. The support and wealth of knowledge that has been provided isn't something available in all communities. It is amazing to be part of a community that has an understanding of the importance of embracing authenticity and diversity. We look forward to working with the Municipality and other Chatham-Kent business owners.
Finally, how could we forget the bountiful supply of homegrown produce and other local by products that are grown, harvested, and sold in Chatham Kent. We love cooking and always love trying new things from the road stands through out the different harvest periods.
