Chatham Capitol Theatre
Home to over one hundred performances a year, a visit to the
Chatham Capitol Theatre will have you in awe. Whether you are front row centre for a concert or watching from the balcony, you will be taken aback by the acoustics this theatre has to offer. Past artists have included the likes of Michelle Wright, Kim Mitchell, George Canyon, and Doc Walker. Located in the heart of downtown Chatham, this is also a great place to catch local theatre group performances, dance competitions and much more.
In 2016, the
Jeanne Gordon Hall, located above the Wallaceburg Museum, was renovated and transformed to meet the desires of the local community. Here, community events, workshops, lectures and more are staged for your enjoyment.
Jim Kish Theatre
The theatre is located on the second floor of the former Bothwell Town Hall, accommodating approximately 177 patrons with a stage for smaller performances. Events still take place here to this day. You can follow the Bothwell Boomtown Players, an amateur theatrical troup that was founded in 1986 by the late James Kish, on social media, to stay up to date with what's happening.
Located in the Chatham Cultural Centre, the
Kiwanis Theatre offers some of the best home grown talent Chatham-Kent has to offer. Both Theatre Kent and Take a Bow Productions call this stage home, offering live theatrical performances such as "Calendar Girls." The Kiwanis Theatre is also proud to offer musical tributes such as "Song Sung Blue: The Neil Diamond Story" and "We Walk the Line: A Tribute to Johnny Cash" just to name a couple.
This historical and architecturally significant heritage venue offers an outstanding annual concert series that kicks off each September. You can enjoy the sounds of the Western Swing Authority, the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and a barrage of tribute bands honouring the musical stylings of Johnny Cash to the Eagles. Along with a stunning line-up of performers, the
Mary Webb Centre features an art gallery that highlights exceptional local artists, as well as an array of workshops from art classes, to yoga, to writing workshops.
