The 19 Characteristics of a Welcoming Community, created by Pathways to Prosperity Canada, is a guiding framework to assess emerging trends and needs to enhance Chatham-Kent's welcome-ability. Below are the 19 Characteristics with resources corresponding to each, and activities and initiatives that CK LIP Council and other local agencies are working on. CK LIP prioritizes efforts based on the Theory of Change strategic plan, but continues to reference the 19 Characteristics framework to guide emerging needs.
