Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP)

We offer two different pre-authorized payment plans:

  1. Instalment (due date)
  2. Monthly (15th of each month)
  • Monthly PAP plans will be recalculated twice per year, in February and July, to align with the interim and final tax bills. The calculated withdrawal amounts will be populated in a payment schedule on the Tax Bill for your reference. The January monthly withdrawal amount will be a continuation of the July to December calculated amount.

Submit your completed Pre-Authorized Payment Form by email to ckar@chatham-kent.ca or mail to:

Chatham-Kent Tax Department
315 King Street West, PO Box 640
Chatham, ON  N7M 5K8

NOTE: All arrears must be paid in full prior to implementation.

If you would like to cancel your pre-authorized payment plan or make changes to your banking information, please download and complete the Pre-Authorized Payment Changes or Cancellation Form. It's best to download the form and fill it out using Acrobat Reader. The form can also be printed and filled out by hand. The form is due at least 10 days in advance of the next scheduled withdrawal date, being the 15th of each month, or the next tax installment due date, depending on which plan you have.

Online / Telephone Banking

The 19-character roll number shown on your tax bill starting with 3650 is the number you will need to use. If your bank requires extra numbers, just enter zeros at the end of your roll number. If this does not work, contact your bank.

Financial Institutions

You can pay your tax bill at any chartered bank, trust company and most credit unions. Please ensure payments are remitted at the financial institution 2 to 3 business days prior to a due date to avoid penalty or interest charges.

Municipal Service Centres

Payments can be made at any municipal service centre, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, or after hours using our dropbox.
