Municipal Holiday Hours

Ride CK: transit services will be closed on December 25, 26 and January 1.

Emergency Services: Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, every day, and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed from noon on December 24 until 8:30 am on December 29 and closed from noon on December 31 until 8:30 am on January 3.

Cemeteries: staff will be on call for funeral homes that require at-need sales.

Arts + Culture: CK Tickets Box Office for Kiwanis and Capitol Theatres is open at the Chatham Cultural Centre until 1:00 pm on December 24. Chatham-Kent Museum and Thames Art Gallery are closed December 24 – 26 and 31 - January 1. The Milner Heritage House is closed from December 24 - January 1. The Ridge House Museum remains closed due to the pandemic. ARTspace remains closed due to the pandemic but is scheduled to reopen on January 12, 2022.

Entegrus and Public Utilities Commission: will be closed from December 24 - 28, and December 31 - January 3.

Health and Family Services Building: The Health and Family Services building will be closed at noon December 24 reopening Wednesday, December 29. The office will close at noon December 31 reopening on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. This includes the offices of Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Child Care and Early Years, and Public Health.

Emergency Rapid Rehousing Program: The Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies within Chatham-Kent is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Public Health King Street (located at 177 King St. E., Chatham) will close at noon December 24, reopening on December 29. The office will close at noon December 31, reopening on January 4, 2022. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.

EarlyON Holiday Closures: December 24, 25, 27, 28, 31, January 1, and 3.

Public Libraries: will be closed December 24 - 27 as well as December 31 - January 1. CKPL is open regularly scheduled hours December 28 - 30.

Provincial Offences Court: closed at noon on Friday, December 24, 2021, and will re-open Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 8:30 am.  If you are suspended, you should visit Service Ontario to pay the fine and reinstatement of your licence.  Payments of fines can be made online at www.paytickets.ca.

Recreation: Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will close at 1:00 p.m. on December 24 and 3:00 pm on December 31.

Both pools are closed on December 25, 26 and January 1.

Arenas: All arenas are closed December 24 – 26 and January 1.

December 31 - Free skates will take place at the Blenheim, Thames Campus, Dresden, Tilbury arenas. All other arenas are closed.

Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed December 27-28 and January 3, but services, activities and visiting hours continue as normal. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.

Waste and Recycling: No schedule changes for curbside collection. Please refer to the Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for further details.

Transfer Stations: Closed December 25 and January 1. Open December 27 and January 3. 

Leaf & Yard Depots: Closed December 25 and January 1. The Chatham and Romney locations are open on December 27 and January 3. Christmas trees are accepted free of charge at all Leaf & Yard Depots.

Chatham-Kent Tourism: CK Tourism will be closed at noon December 24 - December 26. Offices will also be closed from noon December 31 - January 3. To access visitor information at any time, visit www.visitck.ca.
