Community Living Chatham-Kent Kicked off Community Living Month with a flag raising and BBQ at the Civic Centre in Chatham and a flag raising will be held at the Wallaceburg Service Centre for Community Living Wallaceburg.
Ron Coristine, Executive Director of Community Living, provided greetings to those assembled. “Community Living month is a month to celebrate the skills and talents of all people, and it is also a month to acknowledge that every person is a valued citizen of this municipality.”
Mayor Darrin Canniff, “This is what defines Chatham-Kent, the people sitting here right now, how we have come together to celebrate skills, to celebrate each other, that is what flying these flags are about. That is what Community Living Month is all about! Community Living is amazing for what they do in the community, I cannot imagine Chatham-Kent without all of you in it and what you do. You make Chatham-Kent so special.”
