CK Transit operating, urges precautions

Chatham-Kent Transit (CKTransit) continues to operate its conventional, accessible and inter-urban transit on our regular schedule, including the new CKTransit On-Request evening service which began yesterday. Information on this service can be found at

Chatham-Kent continues to take direction from the Medical Officer of Health and transit operations will continue to operate until such time that we are given direction otherwise.

The CKTransit service providers have increased their sanitization measures and protocols effective immediately.

We ask that if you are ill or experiencing fever, cough or shortness of breath avoid using public transit if at all possible.

We also ask that you respect social distancing when using public transit by way of keeping empty seats between you and other riders if at all possible.

In accordance with the Province and Municipal best practices, all Ontarians should be taking the following actions in order to protect their health:

washing your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitize sneezing and cough into your sleeve
avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth avoid contact with people who are sick stay at home if you are sick.
