To keep cool, the following facilities are available for public use.

Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool:   

  • Free Open Swim Saturday, June 30 from 1:30pm-4:00pm and Sunday, July 1 from 1:30pm-4:00pm.

Outdoor Pools open Monday July 2. Each outdoor pool features a free swim from 1:30pm-4:00pm. Free evening swims are also scheduled on Monday at Chatham Orville Wright, Dresden, and Ridgetown from 6:30pm-8:00pm and at Thamesville and Tilbury from 7:00pm-8:00pm:

  • Chatham Jaycee Pool – 10 Phillip St.

  • Chatham Orville Wright Pool – 178 King St. E.

  • Chatham Walter Hawkins Pool – 341 Delaware Ext.

  • Dresden Kinsmen Pool – 760 Tecumseh St.

  • Blenheim Talbot Trail Splash Pad (operated by Rotary Club of Blenheim) - 24 John St. W.

  • Bothwell Optimist Park - 252 Oak St.

  • Chatham Kingston Park - 91 Paxton Dr.

  • Mitchell's Bay Beach - 2 Main St.

  • Merlin Kinsmen Park (operated by Merlin Kinsmen Club) - 2 Erie St.

  • Ridgetown Kiwanis Park - 5 George St.

  • Tilbury Knights of Columbus Park - 49 Bond St.

  • Thamesville Ferguson Park - 32 Wallace St.

  • Wallaceburg Jaycee Park (small spray pad) - Larkwood St.

  • Wallaceburg Colwell Park - 300 Running Creek Rd.

  • Wheatley Area Complex - 196 Erie St. N.

Chatham-Kent Public Library branches are open on Saturday, June 30:

The Chatham-Kent Health Unit would like to remind residents that heat related illness is serious and can affect the elderly, very young, people with chronic illnesses, and even healthy people if they participate in strenuous activities and do not take precautions.
