Wifi Hotspots Available at Chatham-Kent Public Library

In partnership with Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team (CKOHT), Chatham-Kent residents can borrow wifi hotspots to access the internet from home.

Wifi hotspots are available to adult patrons (16+) with a valid library card in good standing. Hotspots are available at all 11 CKPL branches and can be checked out for 21 days. To reserve your wifi hotspot, visit search.ckpl.ca and search for ‘Connect CK’.

CKPL’s wifi hotspot lending program is part of ‘Connect CK’, an initiative aimed at reducing the digital divide for residents in CK. ‘Connect CK’ is a partnership between CKPL, Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team (CKOHT) and Chatham-Kent Employment and Social Services (CKESS).

As part of ‘Connect CK’, Community Navigators can also assist low-income youth or families and qualifying non-profit and charitable organizations with obtaining a refurbished computer at no cost. This initiative is in partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Contact Community Navigators by phone at 519-355-1380 or by email CKCN@chatham-kent.ca for more information.

These computers can be used with a borrowed ‘Connect CK’ wifi hotspot to access the internet from any location to attend virtual appointments for medical care as well as virtual meetings for social services, court services, employment resources, community navigation, library services and more.
