Virtual Library at CKPL

This summer use your phone, tablet, or computer for more than gaming or virtual learning. Kick back and relax with an ebook, audiobook or digital graphic novel from CKPL’s Virtual Library!

With your Chatham-Kent Public Library card, you have access to multiple digital platforms, including hoopla, Libby, and ComicsPlus that are filled with thousands of eBooks, audiobooks and comics for free!

hoopla: Borrow and enjoy audiobooks, ebooks, comics, movies, TV, magazines, or music everywhere you have a screen-your computer, your phone, your car, even your TV. All you need is a library card. hoopla syncs across all your devices, so you can stream titles immediately or whenever you're in the mood. Most titles can also be downloaded to your phone or tablet.

Libby: Borrow ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from the library. You can stream titles with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a library card.

ComicsPlus: Get unlimited access to thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga. Every title is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on your computer, tablet or phone - no holds or wait lists required.

Hoopla, Libby and LibraryPass (the app ComicsPlus uses) are available online and in all major app stores.

Residents of Chatham-Kent can obtain a free Chatham-Kent Public Library card by visiting any CKPL branch with an ID showing your name and address.  Not able to make it into a branch?  Visit to sign up for a library card online!
