Introducing New Branch Head for Blenheim and Merlin Libraries

Chatham-Kent Public Library would like to introduce Erica Nauta, the new Branch Head for the Blenheim and Merlin branches.

Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from Brock University, as well as a Masters of Library and Information Sciences from University of Western Ontario. She lives in Blenheim with her two cats, Gunther and Stanley. You may have even seen her walking Stanley around the block!

Erica started her library career working as a Student Page at Blenheim Branch during high school. And, before coming back to work at CKPL in 2017, Erica worked at Blenheim District High School as the Library Supervisor.

Erica is excited to once again be working in the Blenheim community, and for the short commute to work! Once the pandemic is under control, Erica is looking forward to working with community partners and local organizations to connect the public with all the library has to offer.

At this time, libraries are open for Curbside Service. Please stop by during any of our open hours to request and check out books, DVDs, board games and more! Place holds at and pick them up curbside, request a Subscription Bag – ask us how! CKPL’s Seed Library will be available starting March 20, and all of our staff is working hard to create spring break programming for all ages.

For questions or more information, ask CKPL! You can call 519.354.2940, text 519.401.7174, email or chat with us on Facebook @CKPLibrary.
