Laptops Available at Chatham-Kent Public Library

In partnership with Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team (CKOHT), Chatham-Kent residents can borrow data-enabled Chromebook laptops to access the internet from home.

A Chromebook is a smaller, easier-to-use alternative to a Windows laptop or MacBook. Chromebooks run on the Google operating system, Chrome OS.  ‘Connect CK’ Chromebook laptops are data-enabled allowing users to access the internet from anywhere, no wifi connection needed.

Chromebook laptops are available to adult patrons (16+) with a valid library card in good standing. Chromebooks are available at all 11 CKPL branches and can be checked out for 21 days. To reserve your Chromebook laptop, connect with Ask CKPL staff.

As part of ‘Connect CK’, Community Navigators can also assist low-income youth or families and qualifying non-profit and charitable organizations with obtaining a refurbished computer at no cost. This initiative is in partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Contact Community Navigators by phone at 519-355-1380 or by email CKCN@chatham-kent.ca for more information.
