Chatham-Kent Public Library‘s Chatham Branch recently hosted a miniature gardening activity as part of the TD Summer Reading Club. The miniature gardens were sponsored by the Chatham Horticultural Society, who brought beautiful flowers and planter boxes for each of the families to plant and create their own miniature garden. Each family also went home with a watering can. “We can’t give them plants and not have anything to water them with” said member Maureen Anderson. Members of the society also came and shared their planting and decorating expertise with the group. It was a full house, and the program was enjoyed by 15 families. CKPL is very grateful for the Chatham Horticultural Society’s contributions.
