As part of Chatham-Kent Public Library’s ongoing goal to support the local writing community, the Read Local: CK Author Festival will be held at the Chatham Branch on Saturday, November 25. Come and share one-on-one time with local authors and discover your next great read.
From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, CKPL will showcase authors who will be available to meet with readers, talk about their writing, and sell copies of their books. The festival’s featured authors represent many genres, including fiction, non-fiction, children’s and young adult. The tentative list of authors includes:

Dawn Beecroft Teetzel J.L. Meredith
Michael Dymond Glenn Muller
Barbara Godin Kate Smoak
David Alec Knight Joanne Smolders
Fran Lucid
At 3:00 pm, CKPL will welcome keynote speaker and Chatham-Kent author, Susan Cullen, who will discuss her book “The World Collective.” Susan will also share about her writing experiences as municipal liaison of the local group of NaNoWriMo. NaNoWriMo is a nonprofit organization that helps people create and achieve their writing goals by providing tools, structure, community, and encouragement.
