CKPL Celebrates Welcome Week

Chatham-Kent Public Library is celebrating Welcome Week, September 10 to September 19, in partnership with Chatham-Kent Local Immigration Partnership. The purpose of Welcome Week is to celebrate diversity in our community and connect those new to Chatham-Kent with the programs and services we offer.

If you are new to Chatham-Kent, pick up a Welcome Week package from any CKPL branch between September 13 and September 18! The Welcome package includes information about CKPL’s services and a craft for children.

Register for CKPL’s Welcome Week Storytime! Welcome Week Storytime includes songs, stories, and rhymes that celebrate diversity. The link to the pre-recorded storytime video will be emailed to registrants on Monday, September 13 at 10:00 am. Best suited to preschool-aged children and open to all residents of Chatham-Kent.

Follow @ckplibrary on Facebook for diverse reading recommendations. Throughout the week, CKPL will be posting great reads for children, teens, and adults that celebrate diversity. You can also visit any CKPL location to browse diversity displays and ask staff for recommendations.

Watch CKPL’s Facebook page, @ckplibrary, on Friday, September 10, for a special diversity “Friday Fun Puzzle.”
