Bookable Quiet Spaces Now Available at Chatham-Kent Public Library and Employment and Social Services

As a part of the ‘Connect CK’ initiative, wifi-enabled quiet spaces are now available to book at three physical locations for virtual or in-person meetings.

Residents of Chatham-Kent can book a Quiet Pod at Chatham-Kent Public Library’s Chatham and Wallaceburg branches or a quiet office space at the Community Human Services building. These spaces can be reserved free of charge and come equipped with phone and computer access for virtual and in-person meetings or appointments for medical care, social services, court services, employment resources, community navigation and more.

The bookable quiet spaces are a part of the ‘Connect CK’ initiative, a partnership between Chatham-Kent Public Library, Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team and Chatham-Kent Employment and Social Services created to reduce the digital divide for residents in Chatham-Kent.

Quiet Pods at CKPL’s Chatham and Wallaceburg branches can be reserved up to 7 days in advance by contacting Ask CKPL staff:

By Phone: 519-354-2940

By Text: 519-401-7174

By Email: CKlibrary@chatham-kent.ca

The quiet office space at the Community Human Services Building at 435 Grand Avenue West can also be reserved up to 7 days in advance. Contact Community Navigators by phone at 519-355-1380 or by email CKCN@chatham-kent.ca for more information on booking this space.
