As a part of the ‘Connect CK’ initiative, wifi-enabled quiet spaces are now available to book at three physical locations for virtual or in-person meetings.
Residents of Chatham-Kent can book a Quiet Pod at Chatham-Kent Public Library’s Chatham and Wallaceburg branches or a quiet office space at the Community Human Services building. These spaces can be reserved free of charge and come equipped with phone and computer access for virtual and in-person meetings or appointments for medical care, social services, court services, employment resources, community navigation and more.
The bookable quiet spaces are a part of the ‘Connect CK’ initiative, a partnership between Chatham-Kent Public Library, Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team and Chatham-Kent Employment and Social Services created to reduce the digital divide for residents in Chatham-Kent.
