Participants who attended heard of work occurring in areas such as safety, workforce planning, food access, immigration, poverty, the nonprofit sector, mental health, and age friendly communities. In addition participations explored mutually reinforcing activities and discussed how collective impact could be used in CK.

CKHCP exists to work collectively to foster integration and leadership to help make health the easy choice through the advancement of healthy public policies and supports.
The Chatham-Kent Healthy Communities Partnership represents networks, agencies, volunteers, and/or businesses that are committed to working together to collaborate in the following areas:
- Injury prevention
- Physical activity
- Healthy eating
- Reducing tobacco use and exposure
- Preventing substance and alcohol misuse
- Mental health
The CKHCP may also provide leadership and direction in other areas of healthy living when appropriate.
The Healthy Communities Partnership will also provide leadership and direction to the community in the area of healthy living when appropriate.
