Community Input Needed on the Housing and Homelessness Plan Priorities

We are making progress…
Since 2012, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, together with community partners and stakeholders, has been working towards achieving its vision that every person has an affordable, suitable and adequate home to provide the foundation to secure employment, raise a family, and build strong communities.

Through the current Housing and Homelessness Plan, Chatham-Kent has had many successes in implementing new approaches, and, through partnerships with community groups and organizations, assisted people in obtaining the supports needed to obtain and maintain housing.

Still work to do…
With many actions complete or underway, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent has initiated a five-year review of the Housing and Homelessness Plan. An updated Plan will be developed in the Fall of 2019.

As part of the review and developing a revised Plan, we are asking for your help to identify current housing and homelessness needs within Chatham-Kent and ideas to address housing and homelessness needs.

Please take a moment to provide us with your thoughts and ideas by completing the Housing and Homelessness Plan General Survey.

The survey should take approximately 5 minutes and can be completed until June 26th.
The information on this survey is collected under the authority of section 10, Municipal Act. The information will only be used to improve the Municipality of Chatham-Kent's commitment to public engagement and is subject to the provisions of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 1990. Any questions about the survey or other consultation opportunities can be directed to: Cassandra Vink, Consulting Team Lead,, or 416.948.9773.
